In 2019, I set myself the challenge of re-imagining
the complex field that is Landscape Architecture in
order to make it more accessible to the individual
people and communities we design for. With the onset of lockdown in March 2020, I leapt at the chance to explore the exciting opportunities which arose as a result of inter-disciplinary crossover, and my work began to incorporate elements of Sculpture, Animation and Graphic Design.
The aims of the project - from a Landscape Architecture point of view - are threefold :
To remediate a contaminated postindustrial site in North Ayrshire
To re-discover / develop new landscape meanings for the area
To design playfully for children, and the child within every adult
